Marina’s Story

Marina left Ukraine on the fifth day of the war with her daughter. She worked as an accountant in Ukraine for 12 years. They left their homeland to the sounds of sirens and explosions.

The car of their train was overcrowded, forcing them to sit in squatting positions for 12 hours with their little dog in the corridor. They hope to go back home one day but understand that the situation is only heating up for now.

Now they need to start everything from scratch in a new country as soon as possible. They hope very much for our help and support in the first month of their stay in Canada.
